Refund addresses and what happens when a swap fails
A refund address is insurance you only notice when you need it.
01Why it is asked for
If the order cannot be completed, the service needs a safe place to return your original coins.
02Common failure reasons
Deposits below the minimum, the wrong coin or network, or arriving after a fixed-rate window has closed.
03What to keep
Save the order ID, deposit address and transaction ID until the payout has arrived.
04Contacting support
Use only the support channel shown on the checked FairTrade onion, never one that contacted you first.
Key pointAlways give a refund address you control and keep the order ID and transaction ID until the swap is done.
